Request a Feature

Got an idea to enhance Airlog? We're all ears! This guide will take you through the feature request process in Airlog, enabling us to enrich your flying experience with each new version.

How to Request a Feature

  1. Access the Feature Request View: Navigate to the "Request a Feature" section within the app settings [About > Request a Feature].

  2. Describe Your Idea:

    • Title: Kick things off with a clear, succinct title for your feature request. This helps us immediately understand the core of your suggestion. Your title can be up to 50 characters long. A handy counter shows how many characters you have left.

    • Description: Dive deeper in the description box. Outline how your proposed feature works, its benefits, and any details that paint a fuller picture. The more comprehensive your description, the better we can evaluate and implement your idea. You have 300 characters at your disposal for the description. Keep an eye on the character counter to manage your summary effectively.

  3. Optional Email: If you're open to follow-up conversations for clarifications or updates on your request, feel free to leave your email. This step is optional but can be crucial for a more interactive feedback process.

  4. Submit: Once you've filled out the details above (and email, if you choose), tap the "Submit" button. A confirmation message will appear if the submission is successful.

Understanding the Feature Request Process

Initial Review

All submitted requests are initially set to Pending status. During this phase, your request is visible only to you.

Community Engagement

If our team approves your feature request, its status changes to Approved. At this point, your idea becomes visible to the broader Airlog user community, allowing them to support it through upvotes.

We monitor the community's response closely. A significant number of upvotes can propel a feature from the approved stage to Planned and then to In Development. This transition signals our commitment to working towards implementing the feature in Airlog.

If your feature request receives approval, your email remains confidential, accessible only to our team and never visible to other users.

Why Your Input is Invaluable

Tailored Improvements

Your suggestions help us understand what features are most desired by our users, guiding our development efforts towards what matters most to you.

User-Centric Development

The community voting system ensures that we focus on features that have broad user support, aligning our updates with your needs and preferences.

Privacy and Data Use

We're thankful for each feature request we receive. Your engagement and feedback are what drive Airlog's evolution, helping us serve the aviation community better. Thank you for your contributions and for being an active part of Airlog's journey.
